“Guess Who?” Book - Each page follows the order of the Insect Fact Sheet to assist young learners in finding information.

  • Extra Page included for additional information you want to add.

Activities have been implemented in 1st through 3rd-grade classrooms.

Suggestions for Implementing:

  1. Place a copy of the fact sheets in a 3 ring binder and put it in your reading center along with other insect books.  Children will have the opportunity to look through it, choose an insect to study, and write their names on a sticky note to place on the insect page so others know it is taken.  This will keep children from duplicating reports.

  1. Children are given access to their “Guess Who?” book to complete on their computer device.

  1. You may also want to print a hard copy for them to read and refer to as they complete their “Guess Who?” Book if going back and forth between tabs is too cumbersome.

Some extension ideas:

  • Create a clay model of the insect and a habitat for it.

  •  Oral Presentation - gives young learners experience in sharing the information they have gathered.

***Presentation Rubric included as a bonus gift.
