Speech, Language, and Cognitive Therapy task for adults in the SNF, In-Patient or Out-Patient Rehab, or Acute care

What's included?

5 levels of varying difficulty, each with a short message and blank daily schedule

5 corresponding answer keys

What is targeted?

Reading Comprehension

Problem Solving

Compensatory Memory Strategies

Executive Functioning

Instructions:

This resource is a complex adult language therapy task which includes short messages which can be read aloud by the clinician or read by the patient. The provided short messages include five levels ranging from easiest to hardest. After listening to or reading the messages, patients utilize the provided blank daily schedule to create a schedule based on the information they received from the voicemails.

You can either print the activity and provide to your patients individually, or you can laminate the page for repeated use. Patients can use a dry-erase or wet-erase marker for easy clean up. This can also be sent home as a home exercise program.

This activity may be completed over separate sessions, with each level of difficulty taking 30-60 minutes based on the abilities of your patient.
