Description

Break up the monotony and make inequalities fun and engaging! With this center students look at the relationship between both positive and negative integers in a "number sentence" or inequality. Students understanding of numbers and their relationship with one another is put to the test in a fun way by sorting the true sentences from the false. This makes for a perfect group rotation, center, or quick review activity. A quick assessment is provided as well as blank cards and instructions for students to create their own true and false sort (they must include at least 3 true and 3 false to show that they understand numbers as well as the greater than and less than signs). The stakes are higher when they test each other--or even the teacher!

This purchase includes:
5 true and false number sorts (one station has students looking at the relationship of just positive numbers and the other look at a variety of positive and negative integers)
2 types of recording sheets
Answer key
Quick Assessment

AND the Create your own activity:
Direction page
Blank sorting cards and True/False labels
Recording sheet and answer key
