Description

Take a break from typical worksheets with this coloring activity! Students will read 25 real-world phrases and determine if they indicate a positive integer, negative integer, or zero. This is a great activity to introduce integers and integer word problems.

Two versions of the activity are included: one that asks students to use the colors blue, yellow, and green for uniformity and easy grading, and one that allows students to choose their own colors and make a key (in case there aren't enough coloring utensils available for each student).

An answer key is included.

Please note that this activity is NOT editable. The text, problems, and images are not able to be changed.

I love anything to do with coloring and I loved how there were different options to print. I chose to print out the one where they can choose their own colors. This was an extra credit activity in order to motivate them to get the practice they needed to identify the key words and phrases in integer word problems. They did quite well on it!

This was fantastic. The use of this worksheet has helped scaffold for my students who are learning English as a second language (ELL) as well as kids who have learning disabilities and are having trouble understanding the standards.
