Description
This is a set of 30 cards containing a variety of addition and subtraction expressions with integers. Students can use them as a matching activity where they work to find the pairs of cards that have the same answers. They can also be used as standard flash cards. The answers and pair matches are included.
This past school year, my students came up with another fun way to use the cards. They called it "Integer Race". Two students play against each other, and will each need a piece of paper. They list the numbers from positive 8 to negative 6. The cards are shuffled and placed, face up, on the desk. The students then race to find one card for each answer. The one who finds all 15 cards first is the winner.
