"These task cards are a much more engaging way to get in additional practice. There are so many different ways you could utilize these task cards and students were much more open to this activity than completing a worksheet filled with equations. "

Description

This integer operations activity is a fantastic way to get students moving while they are reviewing concepts.

  • You can use the included math wheel as part of your review or instruction of all operations before practicing with the task cards!

This integer operations resource includes:

  • 30 Footloose task cards (set with a background and a set without)
  • Footloose grid
  • Answer key
  • Math Wheel for note-taking & practice

The Footloose task cards require students to:

  • Add integers

  • Multiply integers
  • Divide integers
  • Solve word problems with positive/negative integers (there are 4)

The integers operations math wheel for notes and practice includes:

1) THREE versions of the student wheel

  • ‘Open’ for students to write/add all notes – this version is a little more flexible
  • ‘Fill-in’ notes, to help control student use of space
  • Pre-filled notes for absentees or students who need them; answers to examples and practice problems are NOT on this version

2) Teacher version of Integers Wheel:

3) Colored sample wheel

4) An editable PPT page that is a blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).

The sections of the Integers Operations Wheel include the 'rules' for:

1) Addition

2) Subtraction

3) Multiplication & Division

Features of this easy-to-use resource:

  • Notes/examples sections
  • Guided or independent practice: 12 questions in the pattern around the circle, for students to practice representing situations with integers and ordering integers
  • Coloring/doodling opportunity: students can color the background pattern, as well as the headings and doodle arrows, however they like.

⭐️ Want digital task cards? There's a digital version of these task cards. (The digital version has a Forms quiz.)

If you want BOTH print and digital (plus the math wheel), check out the mini-bundle.

What teachers are saying about this integer operations resource:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"We love Footloose in my class! For some reason it is so much more engaging than a regular worksheet. I like that they are up and moving around the room and discussing with each other. I have also used these on Canvas for my distance learners. I have cut them apart and used them in stations, too. They are just high quality task cards all around."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"My students love your footloose products. I hang the cards around the room and they circulate with clipboards. They are moving, doing math and having discussions about how to answer the questions... what's not to love? Thank you!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"Used this for a quiz - walking around silently with clipboards and answer sheets produced some excellent (brain based) work."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"A fun and easy way to review integer operations. Minimal prep is needed."
