Description

Here's a fun game to play with your students this Halloween! This engaging trick or treat activity has students performing operations with integers. Students love these... especially when real treats are involved!

Have your students practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers with this simple activity. This self-checking activity has 16 problems for students to complete while they "trick or treat".

Here's how it works:

  • Each page has one problem with 2 answer choices.
  • One answer is a "trick" (incorrect answer) and one is a "treat" (correct answer).
  • When a student is ready to answer the problem, they lift the flap to reveal if the answer was a trick or a treat.
  • Use this as a simple self-checking game or offer treats when students answer correctly.

Ideas for this game:

  • Hang the questions around the room and have students make their way around answering each question.
  • Have students work individually, in pairs, or in groups.
  • Make it a problem of the day to hang on your bulletin board throughout October.
  • Use it on Halloween or whenever your students are learning about comparing and ordering rational numbers.

I printed these and prepared them as a game for my kids to do with their Halloween Candy. My only suggestion would be to print the top page on a sturdier paper. regular paper is too see through, so I ended up putting two down to make it work. Overall, great practice and review game
