Description
This print and ready to use activity is designed to support students who have recently learned the rules for adding and subtracting integers. Students will take 30 addition and subtraction problems and sort them into groups based upon their simplified answers. For example, (8 - 12), (-7 +3), and (-2 - 2) would all be in one group since they each simplify to -4. This activity works well as an individual assignment, partner-work, group activity, etc. It is a great way to reinforce and assess students' knowledge of integer rules!
