Engage and Empower Your Students with Animated Google Slide Lessons

These animated Google Slide lessons are designed to bring energy and clarity to your classroom while helping students master key concepts in grade 7 math. With visually engaging animations and an easy-to-follow structure, these lessons make complex topics accessible and enjoyable for all learners.

Each lesson begins with a clear objective and an essential question to guide learning and focus students on the key takeaways. They include a review of important vocabulary and align with grade 7 standards, covering absolute value, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers. These interactive slides are perfect for whole-class instruction, small-group work, or independent learning!

These videos offer a full unit of study on Integers for Middle School Math. Grade 7 students will begin to understand the relationship of numbers on the number line relative to zero. The unit begins by understanding absolute value, opposites, and comparing and ordering integer values. Vocabulary is a main focus and real world applications such as ascending, descending, deposit, withdrawal, and how increase and decrease relate to positive and negative integers. Our learning then focuses on adding integers. We will add using integer chips and apply the idea of a zero pair. Rules for adding with the same sign and adding with different signs are taught with student practice embedded in every lesson. Subtraction is introduced as rewriting to adding the opposite. We conclude the unit by discovering the rules for multiplying and dividing integers.

Lesson 1 - Integers & Absolute Value

Lesson 2 - Adding Integers

Lesson 3 - Subtracting Integers

Lesson 4 - Multiplying Integers

Lesson 5 - Dividing Integers

Apply and extend previous understandings of addition and subtraction to add and subtract rational numbers; represent addition and subtraction on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram.
Describe situations in which opposite quantities combine to make 0. For example, a hydrogen atom has 0 charge because its two constituents are oppositely charged.
Understand 𝘱 + 𝘲 as the number located a distance |𝘲| from 𝘱, in the positive or negative direction depending on whether 𝘲 is positive or negative. Show that a number and its opposite have a sum of 0 (are additive inverses). Interpret sums of rational numbers by describing real-world contexts.
