Description

Integer lessons and additional practice with LITTLE to NO PREP! You can use the LESSON AND PRACTICE resources to teach students whole group or small group, or you can allow students to learn independently or in collaborative groups. These activities can also be used for enrichment for students who are ready to move on and can work independently. Students will learn about integers, opposites, & absolute value, comparing & ordering integers, as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying, & dividing integers in the lesson and practice activities.

Students can then practice these same skills on the digital or paper task cards. The task card practice problems are different from the practice problems within the lesson and practice activity.

This unit has lots of options to meet your needs and the needs of your students. There is LITTLE to NO PREP involved. You can use all parts in different ways each year depending on your students.

Helpful Ideas to Use with this Resource:

LITTLE TO NO PREP!!: Upload a digital version to your student learning management system. For task cards either upload a digital version, assign the self-grading version, or easily print the black & white task cards. Cut apart the task cards or put each paper into an 8.5x11 plastic sheet protector or dry erase sleeve. Provide students with a copy of the answer sheet.

Student Cooperative Learning Groups: Students can learn together using the explanation and examples sides to learn the skill. Then complete the practice problems using the slides as notes to review if needed.

Stations or Learning Centers: Students can learn the skill independently or in small groups using the explanation and example slides. Then answer the practice problems independently or together in any of the formats provided.

Easy Grading!!: Use the student answer sheet provided along with the task cards or have the student’s put answers onto the self-grading Google Forms™ activity.

Remediation, Intervention, or Special Education Students: Explanation and example slides are perfect for students who need additional instruction, visuals, hints, tips, and review. Slides are loaded with step-by-step instructions with visuals, hints, and tips for solving the problem. Resources are beginning to include text that can be read and used with the TEXT to SPEECH feature on devices. Look at each individual resource for more information.

Whole Class or Whole Group: The Lesson and Practice activities are ready to go for you. Teach using the lessons and then use the problems as guided practice with students. It is possible to upload the Lesson and Practice activities into Nearpod™ or Peardeck™ for use during class lessons.

Independent Student Practice: Use these task cards as an informal assessment of student learning. Provide students with one of the provided versions and an answer sheet.

Ready Made Notes: Use the explanation and example slides as notes. Slides are 11 x 8.5 and will easily print in landscape format.
