This resource worked really well for my diverse learners. The structure and clarity supported my students with IEPs, and it allowed them to access the content more independently. I appreciate how adaptable it is for different learning needs.

I used this with students who struggle with math. It worked very well to get the concept of integers across, but it is slow going. I felt like I had to wake them up a bit before doing more practice problems.

I have used this for teaching a student one on one. I am not a math teacher by trade, so the videos have been extremely helpful! The video lesson explains each concept in a clear, easy-to-understand way. The worksheets are great for practicing the concept.

I really like the way the notes are laid out. I have used it to teach a unit to students but I mainly use it to supplement my curriculum when I need extra support. I especially like the section that explains how to convert language into math symbols.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values (e.g., temperature above/below zero, elevation above/below sea level, credits/debits, positive/negative electric charge); use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real-world contexts, explaining the meaning of 0 in each situation.
Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Extend number line diagrams and coordinate axes familiar from previous grades to represent points on the line and in the plane with negative number coordinates.
Recognize opposite signs of numbers as indicating locations on opposite sides of 0 on the number line; recognize that the opposite of the opposite of a number is the number itself, e.g., -(-3) = 3, and that 0 is its own opposite.
