Integrating learning throughout the day is one more way for students to build their skills and grow as learners. Each morning the students sign in and make a lunch choice using this form. Print it on cardstock and laminate or stick in a page protector sleeve. Students mark their lunch choice using a dry erase marker. Afterwards a student, group, committee (whatever you use in your classroom) analyzes the data for lunch count and attendance. This is a great way to integrate addition, subtraction, and data analysis into something important to your students' everyday life. The best part...it takes five minutes.
