Description
SEE PREVIEW! This Google Slides Presentation comes with 20 questions and immediate feedback for both correct and incorrect answers. Bar Models provide a powerful visual of mathematical situations. Students will solve multiplication, division, addition & subtraction problems with bar models. This Singapore Math strategy greatly enhanced our student's mathematical reasoning abilities.
THE RESOURCE:
- Interactive practice - Google Slides presentation with clickable navigation.
- 20 questions, with so many bar models!
- Immediate, visual feedback! Students click on the answers, which prompts explanations. For incorrect answers, students will try the question again.
- Bar Models have been a real game-changer in our classrooms.
MATH GOALS:
- Interpret part-whole and comparison bar models.
- Recognize uniform bars and explain what they represent in a model.
- Solve bar models for the question mark, and correctly place the question mark in a given model.
- Solve real-world problems using visuals.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Multiplication & division to 12.
- Addition & subtraction with regrouping.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Must be used in present mode due to interactive nature of activity.
- Share screen and use as whole-class, or assign to students as stations if you have the technology available. (Each student/group will need a laptop or tablet)
- Use as a comprehensive math review, or use to teach students the art of bar modelling. We used this during our Bar Modelling unit.
