MATH GOALS:

• Interpret part-whole and comparison bar models.
• Recognize uniform bars and explain what they represent in a model.
• Solve bar models for the question mark, and correctly place the question mark in a given model.
• Solve real-world problems using visuals.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Multiplication & division to 12.
• Addition & subtraction with regrouping.

RECOMMENDED USE:

• Must be used in present mode due to interactive nature of activity.
• Share screen and use as whole-class, or assign to students as stations if you have the technology available. (Each student/group will need a laptop or tablet)
• Use as a comprehensive math review, or use to teach students the art of bar modelling. We used this during our Bar Modelling unit.
