Description
This is a really fun way for students to learn about dichotomous keys! The students follow an interactive PowerPoint through a series of slides until they identify the animal they have chosen. The goal is to match the scientific name with the correct organism.
All slides are editable, so you can change the statements if want to use different characteristics to identify each species. There are also 7 analysis questions that the students must answer once they are finished.
If you want to challenge your students, they can also create their own dichotomous key for the animals by assigning each one a common name and then filling in the outline provided!
