Description

This Digital Interactive Math Notebook is perfect for Distance Learning, Hybrid Learning, and Classroom Live Learning. It can be used in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, math problem solving and daily learning activities. In class, it would be a terrific addition to your math learning centres and/or guided groups. Aligning with the new Ontario Math Curriculum, this Google Slide includes a section for each strand, as well as a section where educators can upload their own math posters, classroom anchor charts, or create their digital charts to include thereon. This is an ideal resource to use for students in Google Classroom and many other learning platforms.

Each strand section includes a title page, a page with key words and terms for that particular strand, a page with the overall expectations from Grades 1 to 8, a poster to write learning goals and success criteria, as well as 10 blank slides to either insert math problems or activities or for students to simply record their observations from a math activity posted and conducted in class. You have the option to add more pages and the instructions are set out on the Speaker's Notes section of the Google Slide. The Speaker's Notes section also includes instructions detailing how to change the links to the page numbers from the buttons on the slides if you choose to insert additional pages.

If you are using Google Classroom, one option for usage is to provide each student with their own individual copy with an assignment inserted into one of the slides, and students can "turn in" the Digital Math Notebook to you once they have completed that particular task. From there, you can check the students' work, upload a new assignment, and then "return" the assignment to the students, and repeat. Another option is to assign the digital notebook for each student and then students keep it in their "assigned" box all year (and do not "turn in"). Educators simply insert new assignments by copy and pasting them into each student's notebook. This is how I use this resource in my classroom and it is so efficient and seamless!

The key words and terms I have chosen for this slide correspond with the Grade 3 Math Curriculum but any word or term can be changed at any time as this document is interactive in nature.

You may, of course, insert your own Bitmoji to personalize this Digital Math Notebook once you are in possession of your own copy.

This has been so helpful for online learning. I'm able to assign it to students and have them submit daily and then return it to them for the next activity. Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback, Kristin, and I am absolutely thrilled that this resource has been so helpful to you during online learning. I use it with my Grade 3 and 4 students for in class learning at this time and it's been such a handy tool to use with a combined grade as my Grade 3s complete math problems/activities while I work with the Grade 4s on science. Thanks again!
