Interactive Digital Science Notebook (Start)
Share

Description

The zip file gives you the three pages you see in the preview image. Each one is an image that I used as backgrounds for Google Slides so the students can't alter it but instead add text boxes and images on top. Teaching my students to add slides into the presentation allows for the students to use this as a notebook adding text boxes and images to blank pages but also letting me make a slide and have them copy and paste the slide into their interactive notebook as well! You can aslo print them on gray scale or in color! For more help, contact me at tyler.lawson@weldre5j.org

These are image files meaning they can be used as the background for a Google Slide in a Google Presentation. If you make it the background then it allows for people to make edits on top of it but not edit the layout. Just like when you pick a theme for PowerPoint or Google Presentation, the background is not easily changed, however you can add text and pictures to it easily. Download these and make a new Google Presentation with three blank slides. For each, change the background and choose the the image (of these three or any others you make or find). Then share this slideshow with your students and teach the students how to copy the slide (not the entire presentation) and then paste it as the next slide in their "Notebook" Google Presentation. They can then add the vocab words and pictures just as they would if they wrote it on paper or drew it in a science notebook. I can make a short tutorial video if you would like as well and if you let me know what type of technology your students have that can help me be more specific with any help you may need. Thanks for trying them out and giving it a shot!
