Description
In this exercise, students will use an Interactive Geologic map of Arizona to discover what types of rocks, faults, and ages of those rocks are. They will read about the different environments that Arizona has had over the ages. They will also get a review on words like conglomerate, intrusions, sill, igneous and sedimentary rocks.
There are two versions found in the Google Doc. One version opens to an interactive geologic map and the other opens up to a very detailed PDF version of the geologic map. I prefer the interactive map but if your computers aren't able to open up the interactive version the PDF version works just fine.
