Description

*Math is so much more fun for everyone involved when it's eye-catching and interactive!! These slides are aligned with Unit 6 of McGraw Hill’s Reveal Math Program for 1st grade and are full of interactive elements to keep students engaged.

Unfortunately, specific content from the Reveal Math program is not included due to copyright, so you must insert pages, pictures, and videos from the online platform on your own after purchasing. A Powerpoint version is included, with a link to a Google Slides version of the presentation. I hope you enjoy using these slides with your students!

I HIGHLY suggest you use the Powerpoint version as the formatting is better. The fonts I used in the Powerpoint version are KG Blank Space Solid and KG Primary Whimsy, which you can find by searching KG Fonts here on TPT.

*These materials were prepared by a teacher in New Jersey and have neither been developed, reviewed, nor endorsed by McGraw Hill, publisher of the original work on which this material is based.*

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
Compose two-dimensional shapes (rectangles, squares, trapezoids, triangles, half-circles, and quarter-circles) or three-dimensional shapes (cubes, right rectangular prisms, right circular cones, and right circular cylinders) to create a composite shape, and compose new shapes from the composite shape.
Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.
