Description
Looking to get started with interactive notebooks in the younger grades but worried about how or where to start? Look no further! This free resource will help your emerging literacy students practice the alphabet in a fun, hands-on way that is open to endless possibilities.
Included in this file are three sets (regular letters, letters with dotted lines, and dotted letters for tracing) of alphabet "flaps" to be cut and pasted in students' interactive notebooks. These flaps lift vertically and are small enough to fit multiple letters on a page if needed. Each letter has an uppercase and a lowercase flap under which students can practice writing the letter, drawing an image related to the letter, creating their own letter art, pasting images cut from other sources, or anything else that might engage your tiny learners!
These pages can also be a fantastic way to engage ELL students who need a static resource to refer back to as they practice their alphabet in English. Once in students' notebooks, the pages can be used as a study tool, a means of assessment, or just simply a way for students to actively engage with the content.
