This is the second lesson in a growing bundle of a thematic unit on Energy called The Science Behind Energy. If you are an interdisciplinary teacher like I am, your best bet is to get the bundle. This lesson teaches reading information standards, writing, vocabulary development of academic and domain-specific words using NGSS science content. The reading passage is written in SECOND PERSON POINT OF VIEW! You don't see this often. Each page can be used in whole group or as a center. The interactive notebook page is engaging and the writing can be used as an exit ticket.
