Description
An interactive notebook is essential in any core classroom, especially science! In order to think and act like a scientist, a student needs an organized tool to record their reflections. I have been using interactive notebooks for 12 years and have found that setup days are essential for making this process work all year. This ppt is a step-by-step guide/checklist for setting up the notebook. It also includes the extremely important motivation piece to show students how interactive notebooking can change their learning. It can be used by the teacher for direct instruction or printed out as thumbnails/checklist for students who are absent or need more time.
