Are you looking for engaging ways to practice your students' opinion, narrative, and informative writing? These interactive writing prompts and graphic organizers allow students to use their creativity. This product is a set of interactive writing activities that allow students to choose their topic and explore!

There are three writing activities included:

  • Informational Writing
  • Narrative Writing
  • Opinion Writing

How the Narrative Writing Prompts work:

  • They will cut and paste the beginning, middle, and ending pictures in any order they choose.
  • Draft the beginning, middle, and end for a pre-write.
  • Then expand with their writing with writing pages!


How the Informative Writing Prompts work:

  • They will choose between two topics.
  • They will cut and paste the topic heading and photographs to their writing pages.
  • They will research facts about the topic they choose using the fact writing graphic organizer.
  • Then, they will pre-write their writing.
  • Finally, they will expand their writing with the given writing pages.

How the Opinion Writing Prompts work:

  • They will choose between two topics.
  • They will cut and paste the topic heading and photographs to their writing pages.
  • They will draft their reasons for why they chose that topic, then use three of those reasons to pre-write their piece.
  • Finally, they will expand their pre-write into a full piece.

Other pages that are included:

  • 0-3 rubric for teacher grading
  • Mini poster about types of writing
