The purpose of the Interpreting Data Unit is to help guide upper elementary teachers’ science instruction as well as monitor students mastery of standards within an Interpreting Data unit of study. Teachers will be able to track student understanding of science content prior to a summative test or state assessment. Teachers will have a conceptual understanding of how well their students perform on assessments as well as having access to data that will drive purposeful instruction in the classroom.
