Description

This is Module 2 for HMH Into Reading Structured Literacy.

Musical Chairs for phonics review!!

I created this to give my students a fun and movement based way to review the phonics skills we work on each week.

To play:

First, print out one page for each student and put it on their desks. Next, choose some fun music for the students to move around to and just like musical chairs, once the music stops they need to find the chair closest to them. You can have all students using the same page or alternate pages throughout the room. Students need to correctly write a word with the phonics pattern listed. If they cannot, they are out.**Make sure to take a page away for each student that is out.**

The rounds continue until all 6 words have been filled in. I usually give a small prize to the students left at the end like an eraser, sticker, etc.
