Introduction First Day Icebreaker Activity Worksheet for Child Development / ECE
Share

Description

Use this ice breaker in your Child Development or ECE class to allow your students to meet and greet with others! The students will go around and write the names of other students who find one of the child development related statements to be true for them.

Example statements:

  • I have held a newborn baby.
  • I can describe the difference between fraternal and identical twins.
  • I have a sibling under 3 years old.

This sheet will open as a Google Doc so edits can be made in order to customize it the way you'd like!

I used this ice breaker to begin one of the first days of the semester in Child Development. I find it a great way for the students to connect with others from different grades and backgrounds right from the start.

Note: This resource is a part of the bundle, Child Development Introduction which is full of resources to get you started with your Child Development class!

I used this at the beginning of the year in both my ECE 1 and ECE 2 classes. It was great and I plan on continuing to use it each year for my ECE 1 students.
