Introduction First Health Lesson or Substitute Lesson, Evaluating Health Quotes
Share

Description

This free lesson is a supplemental lesson that goes with my "Health Class Room Posters with Positive Quotes about Health" listing. You can find these posters by clicking HERE.

In this lesson, the students will work with a partner review and analyze 2 of the health quotes found on the posters for PART 1. For PART 2, students will answer a few personal questions about what they wish to learn, what they have learned, and any other information they want to share with their teacher. PART 3 has an optional activity for students to add an illustration of their choice if they have extra time and would like to. When students are done, and if there is time left, they can share their interpretations with the class.

This makes a good activity to do on your first day with students as a fun introduction to your health space and a way to share their thoughts. With some adjustments on the questions in part 2, it could also be a simple activity for a substitute.

This lesson has been created in Google Documents so that it can be easily edited to fit your class and/or style. You could add or delete any of the questions.

I am excited to start the year off with this resource. It's not only a great minds-on, but it allows me to see just how deeply they care about health in general.
