Description
Students will learn how to count atoms (using subscripts) with this 21-slide PowerPoint presentation. On the presentation, there's an activity for students to move around the room to identify Lego models. There's a key included for the models. It's a very simple set-up. Students will get to see how the atoms in compounds are connected. Also on the presentation, there's a quick assessment game. As compounds are shown on the screen, students want to be the first one in their small group to count the atoms and shout out the correct answer. My classes call this game "Rapid Fire".
