These beginning genetics task cards are a perfect introduction to an introduction unit on heredity. Topics emphasized are learned versus inherited traits and behaviors, parent organisms and offspring, and survival adaptations. Several cards have charts to interpret. It is great for whole class instruction, with partners, science centers, games, and for test review. Try copying them onto cardstock, cutting them out, laminating them, and reusing them year after year. The pictures help resource and ESL students. This was designed for a Utah 5th grade genetics unit but works for anyone. There are 28 cards and come with a student sheet and answer key. Thanks! Cara Baldree
