Use these Google Slides to introduce the importance of Human Development. This activity allows the students to discuss (with and partner and as a whole class) how a human changes over time and why human development is important. As a quick discussion, students will also name careers associated with a human's development at different stages of the lifespan in order to be exposed to a variety of career pathways (hello Career and Technical Education standards!!)

This activity is meant to guide a class discussion, but you can expand it however it works best for your class! It will open via Google Slides so it is fully editable. I like how this activity allows me to discover what my students think about the importance of this class, the skills they hope to learn, and what careers they may pursue within the field of human development.
