This lesson introduces the concept of design thinking and the ideation process. This lesson can be done without any prior knowledge of graphic design, or incorporated later in the year after digital design skills are built. 

Students will be introduced to the definition of ideation, as well as the ideation process (defining the goal/problem, gathering inspiration, brainstorm, evaluate & refine, prototype) through a slideshow presentation PDF. They will then get with a group or partner and complete the ideation process for “The Cozy Corner” cafe owner Jane. They will create their own presentation as a group addressing all stages of ideation.
