This resource was exactly what I needed to introduce integers on a number line to my students. The notes were clear, organized, and easy for students to follow—perfect for building a strong foundation. I loved how it guided them through representing positive and negative numbers in a visual way, which really helped deepen their understanding. The examples and guided practice were thoughtfully designed, making it great for whole-group instruction or interactive notebooks. My students felt confident and engaged, and it made teaching integers so much smoother. A must-have for any middle school math teacher!

Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values (e.g., temperature above/below zero, elevation above/below sea level, credits/debits, positive/negative electric charge); use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real-world contexts, explaining the meaning of 0 in each situation.
