This is a one week introduction to the importance of observation, making predictions, and experiments. This lesson plan is a suggested guideline for instruction and not meant as a word for word script. The lesson plan was based on the introduction of the standards for 4th grade science adopted standards for North Carolina. This lesson is designed for grades 3-5. Included in the outline are the standards, I Can statements, a lesson broken up into three segments, and assessment methods.
