Introduction to Subtraction Lesson and Worksheet (No Prep!)
Share

Description

This no-prep resource includes an 11 slide PowerPoint lesson and color-coded worksheet to help students build the foundational skill of single digit subtraction. The PowerPoint lesson presents students with the multiple ways we are shown subtraction: images for us to cross out, number sentences that are vertical and horizontal, and number stories. This can be used in class for whole group instruction or in small groups for more focused practice based on students' needs.

The worksheet can be laminated or placed in a plastic sleeve for practice with subtracting vertically and horizontally. The color-coding provides a visual reminder for where we start and stop when solving number sentences.

A great option for tier 3 instruction and use by classroom support staff to solidify understanding of this important math concept!
