Description
This inventor research project gets students excited about famous inventors and inventions! Through this fun and creative project based learning (PBL) activity, student will learn about inventors as they relate to science, social studies, and history, all while incorporating important research skills, reading, and informational writing skills.
This project includes:
- A list of suggested Inventors
- A planning graphic organizer for students to take notes on while researching their inventor,
- A digital template for the front and back of a trading card!
- An example of a completed trading card
Assign specific inventors, or let students choose. Depending on student age, you may want to instruct / teach them about the inventor yourself, or let them conduct their own research to find the information.
I utilized this resource in my Gifted and Talented pull-out enrichment program, but it can easily be used as enrichment / extension in the regular classroom, or a whole-class activity during a unit on inventors!
This is a great addition to the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) unit "Innovation Celebration".
This is a great whole-class activity, gifted and talented education program enrichment activity, or enrichment activity for the gifted learners in the regular classroom.
