This Project Based Learning (PBL) unit is perfect for end-of-year, after testing, or end-of-semester student engagement. This flexible Project Based Learning unit can be used over 1–3 weeks depending on your schedule.

Students have the opportunity to investigate real-world community issues, analyze evidence, and propose solutions—while building critical thinking, academic discourse, and collaboration skills.

This PBL supports college, career, and civic readiness while giving students voice and choice in their learning.

Aligned to Iowa Standards (Grades 9–12) including:
