Objectives for each lesson:

• LESSON 1: To describe the Iron Man; To perform verses of the Iron Man; To rewrite verses of the original text.
• LESSON 2: To compose poetry verses describing the ‘Return of the Iron Man’; To perform poetry using a set criterion.
• LESSON 3: To create a character profile sheet of the Iron Man using rhyming words; To choose and describe a pretend job The Iron Man might do on his ‘home’ planet; To compose and write a poem based on the Iron Man’s pretend job using rhyming couplets.
