This can be used as a general drama project or summative task for a unit on 'Issues Based Theater/Drama'. It contains all the instructions, guidelines and rubric for how students can work in small groups to create short plays that tackle social issues.

This assignment gives students the chance to practice the following: verbatim theater, documentary theater, original scriptwriting and collaborative skills.

This assignment will take groups of students a minimum of 4 hours to complete, although more time is suggested to increase the quality of the final performances.
