Description

These are the plans that run with our story time part of the day. Our mornings consist of various reading and math small groups, one on one direct instruction sessions, and independent work rotations. Our afternoons; however, are focused on a story, comprehension, and a craft/activity related to the story. I usually try to fit in a science and snack with each week/theme as well. Most of my class does not go to specials (art, music, gym, etc.), so I replace that void with activities that fit their needs.

Best part -- I've done all the Pinterest searching for you!

Everything in the visual calendar had a clickable link that will take you to either the TPT product I use or the blog link with the activity directions.

There is a shopping list included for the entire month as a convenience to help you stay on top of the game if you plan to roll with the calendar as is! Most of the materials are already in your classrooms, and the rest you might be able to borrow from a teaching buddy or send home for parent donations.
