About This Resource:

  • This works well as a whole class activity to do during spring or around Easter! It would also be a great center activity with small groups and lead teacher for support, depending on age and needs.
  • Use this resource to sort, count, graph, talk about colors, greater than, less than, total, least, most, practice addition, multiplication, fractions, and more!
  • There are several uses and it could be adapted for older or younger students depending on your learning goals.
  • Of course, don't forget the jelly beans! Students will LOVE learning math while manipulating their jelly beans. Let them eat their candy at the end for an extra treat!

This resource includes:

  • 5 jelly bean sorting mats (color and black & white options for 6 or 8 jelly bean colors, including blank ones to work for any color jelly bean!)
  • 2 partial page graphs with questions at the bottom (includes a higher and lower level version -- color and black & white options)
  • 2 full page graphs (one color and one black & white for 6 or 8 jelly bean colors)
  • 4 different levels of question sheets to pair with the full page graphs (choose the one that fits your needs).
  • Level 1: focuses on most, least, counting, & colors
  • Level 2: focuses on most, least, counting, & basic addition
  • Level 3: focuses on basic multiplication
  • Level 4: focuses on writing fractions & adding fractions
