Description
This collection of slideshow and student handout notes assists classes as they read William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. These notes align to four themes, including:
- Corruptive Ambition
- Rhetoric & Persuasion
- Tyranny & Leadership
- Ethics & Honor
Notes also connect with rhetorical devices, rhetorical strategies, and conflict, as well as explaining and synthesizing difficult plot points and character details. The slideshow notes align with a student note packet, allowing students to answer discussion questions and analyze significant quotes. This note packet acts as a terrific study guide for future quizzes, tests, and Socratic Seminars. There is also an introductory slideshow explaining the play's context, composition, characters' roles in the play, as well as identifying every individual role from the play. This allows teachers to assign parts to students from the class for oral readings of the play.
The slideshow notes download as editable PowerPoint files. The student handout is in non-editable PDF format.
