This data tracker is a LIFE SAVER! I used this every month, by creating a duplicate of the sheet, and was able to see my students' basic skills all in one place. This can also be used to make small groups for ELA- My students knew that every month the groups would change and they would have different people to work with! It made centers fun and allowed me to focus on different skills when we needed it.
It has space for you to easily track uppercase and lowercase letter recognition, letter sound recognition, HFW, CVC words, and how far your students can count! The columns automatically show the range of your students' skills by highlighting cells from low to high with red to yellow to green.
If you would like to sort based on one skill (and of course need the students names and data to stay together) you can highlight the entire sheet, right click, and chose sort by column _. This will allow you to sort by any qualifier you are looking for- student number, alphabetical order, counting, etc.!
