Description

I created this resource because I am a special education teacher, and I was looking for ways to help my students with learning disabilities continually practice skills we are learning in math. I also wanted a way to monitor their progress throughout the year to help me write more specific IEP goals that would target their areas of need. I couldn’t find any progress monitoring probes that were a mixture of different skills from the Common Core, so I decided to make one! Here’s what you get in this bundle:

1. 36 progress monitoring data probes, enough for one per week for a whole school year for grades K-6

2. Answer Keys for each probe

3. A reproducible chart to help you track which standards the students are mastering

The probes in grades K-2 contain 16 questions each, and the probes in grades 3-6 contain 20 questions each.

The probes in each grade contain questions on the following standards:

Kindergarten - K.CC2, K.CC3, K.CC4, K.CC.6, K.CC.7, K.OA,1, K.OA,2, K.OA,5, K.NBT.1, K.MD.2, K.G.2

This bundle combines all of my individual grade level progress monitoring probes, for a savings of $11.00!

Ways to use the probes:

1. For students working on below grade-level skills, this can be a way to help them master earlier skills they need to progress to grade level.

2. If you are teaching grade level math, and don’t want to overwhelm the students with problems they haven’t seen, just highlight or circle which problems you want them to do as you teach each skill. Gradually build it until you are progress monitoring every skill on the page.

I purchased this resource because I am looking for ways to assess my students who are doing distance learning. I think the concept of weekly work in multiple math concepts is a good idea, but I wish I had beed able to see how cartooney many of the images are. I'd not have purched this had I known that I wouldn't be able to use it at my school. I am disappointed.

Excellent resource for students who can not do computer generated progress monitoring. I have students who are great guessers and they can not do multiple choice progress monitoring as the results are not relevant.
