Description
This Kaboom bundle includes 2 fun, easy-to-understand 92-card games to review basic division facts. This bundle includes both level one and level two decks.
Level one focuses on division involving 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, and 11. Level two focuses on division involving 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12. There is some overlap between the two decks, but in general the "easier" problems aren't in level two and the "harder" problems aren't in level one.
These decks include a symbol on each card for each deck, so that if they're mixed together for comprehensive review they can be easily separated again.
Kaboom is a card game that can be adapted for just about any concept, and this version has a few special features.
The rules are simple:
- Cards are shuffled in a pile or a bucket
- Question cards are kept if answered correctly, put back in bucket if answered incorrectly
- If a student gets a kaboom card, all their cards, including that one, go back in the bucket.
- The student with the most cards when the time is up wins.
This deck has a few other special cards, some that add a level of strategy to the game:
- The swap card lets the student swap their card pile with another student of their choice.
- The missile card lets the student choose another student to send their pile back to the bucket, essentially letting them kaboom someone else.
- The skip card goes back in the bucket, and that student's turn is skipped.
- The free cards are free to keep, with no question to answer.
The ideal number of each special card will depend on the specific group. This deck has 6 kabooms, 2 swaps, 2 missiles, 1 skip and 3 free cards. Any of these cards can be increased or taken out. There is also a title card and a short rules card.
