Welcome to “Ketchup Day”! The close cousin of “Starbucks Mode” but with a little added dash of accountability. I love utilizing “ketchup days” in my classes about every 3-6 weeks (at the end of grading cycle). You will notice that Ketchup days are a bit more structured than Starbucks mode and even include a handout for added accountability, especially when those grading periods are closing in on us.

This resource can be used with any subject, and with upper-elementary grades, middle school, and high school classes. I would not recommend using this on a day with a substitute. Teacher presence is needed to get the full accountability buy-in of your students.
