This is a great low-prep resource to use in your classroom, STEM class, makerspace, etc. to encourage engineering and problem-solving in groups or pairs of students. There are 14 different building challenges (such as: designing a bridge to span a gap, designing a chair for a stuffed animal or a person, a spiral staircase, a mini golf course, a vase that can hold flowers, etc.) that you can display on Google Slides to have the whole class focus on one challenge at a time or print off the PDF as task cards for students to choose from. There are also pictures included to give hits or inspiration as necessary (and for different age level scaffolds). There are also some embedded videos that go over some Keva plank tricks and building basics in the Google Slides. This is also a great resource to have on hand for when you need a quick challenge or a sub plan! I also think it is a great back-to-school teamwork/team building lesson!
