Description

Having young kids log in to Google Classroom can be frustrating for you and frustrating for them. But if we help them learn their way around the keyboard we are doing them a great service. Don’t give up on this critical technology skill. This resource offers 3 different levels to increase keyboard skills. In the first lesson the kids simple find one letter at a time. They drag and drop a movable piece to find the letter. The next level has them finding the letters in a familiar cvc word. The final lesson has them typing the letters into boxes.

These keyboard skills require practice. The font used is the exact same font that is used on keyboards and it’s presented in capital letters – exactly as it’s provided on a keyboard.

Once our kids get fluent on the keyboard, signing in will become faster and easier for everyone. Then the sky’s the limit. Take the time at the beginning of the year to give ample practice learning the keyboard and your hard work will pay off all year long.

Bonus printable worksheets. There are 61 worksheets that you can use to help the kids become familiar with the keyboard. 2 of the worksheets are editable. You can have them search for the letters in their name and in their individual login.
