Description

This 38 page document provides written assessments for Kindergarten Common Core Math standards. The assessments are broken down into 11 three-week "units" to ensure that all Common Core math standards are assessed. It also includes a 12th "unit" that assesses various first grade standards for students ready to be challenged with money, time, and fractions.

The units are listed below:
-Unit 1: Numbers to 10
-Unit 2: Geometry (2D Shapes and Positional Words)
-Unit 3: Numbers to 20
-Unit 4: Comparing Numbers
-Unit 5: Compose/Decompose Numbers to 20
-Unit 6: Data and Graphing
-Unit 7: Measurement
-Unit 8: Geometry (2D and 3D Shapes)
-Unit 9: Addition
-Unit 10: Subtraction
-Unit 11: Sums of 10 and Counting to 100
-Unit 12: First Grade Standards (time, money, fractions)

Each unit includes "I Can" statements (learning targets) that may be sent home with weekly newsletters to make parents aware of skills being addressed in the classroom. Parents can review these "I Can" statements with their child at home. This units also include an assessment that may be used as a pre-test and post-test.

You can download a skills chart for free from my Teachers Pay Teachers store that goes along with these specific pretests and post-tests. Print these and keep as documentation for pretest scores, post-test scores, and skills not yet mastered. This skills chart can be found at the web address below:

I really like this assessment, however I am looking for something that is more of a paper / pencil "quick check" that can be administered whole group rather than sitting down with individuals to do one on one with my students.
