Description
This is a written assessment that I created for Module 1, Mid-Module Assessment, to use in my classroom. This assessment is aligned to Engage NY and Eureka curriculum. When creating this assessment I focused on replicating the curriculum assessments into a written form as closely as possible.
Although the curriculum has you give assessments one-on-one, I found this was taking up too much teaching time, and was looking for a more efficient way to assess my students. This was perfect for that. Not only did it make testing more efficient, it was great documentation/data to share with parents during conferences, other teachers when collaborating, or during IEP meetings.
This assessment is broken down into the 4 topics focused on prior to the assessment:
Topic A: Attributes of Two Related Objects
Topic B: Classify to Make Categories and Count
Topic C: Numbers to 5 in Different Configurations, Math Drawings, & Expressions
Topic D: The Concept of Zero & Working with Numbers 0–5
It also includes an individual student grading sheet, and a class grading sheet.
Directions for each question are written on the test, along with the possible points for that question.
