This file can be used to assess the skills of your incoming Kindergarteners, much like teachers in the upper grades assess skills so they know where to begin teaching.
At my school, we bring the incoming Kindergarteners in after they register and complete a screening on each of them. This helps us establish personal connections early and helps them feel more comfortable about moving into a new environment. You can also use this file in pre-K or 1st grade to assess a student's academic abilities.
This file includes screening pages, student pages, examples, how to set up the assessment, and frequently asked questions.
