Description

Kindness Counts! Whether your looking to add a different element to your 100th Day celebration, bring in some additional character development during February, or create a kindness challenge, this FREEBIE is for you.

This packet helps you create a Kindness Challenge with your students. The overall goal is to invite your babes to look for the “good” in each and every day. I tossed in 100 kindness cards to get you going. You may use a handful of these each day to serve as kindness targets or you may have students select a card to accomplish that day/week/etc. (An editable set is included just in case you aren’t so keen on my kindness choices.)

In addition to the cards, I also provided an optional individual tracking sheet. You may choose to have children graph their own progress so they can “see” how they are contributing to the greater good.

Finally, I added a home to school component. You will find a print and go information note as well as some “Caught Being Kind” certificates in this file (editable). Invite parents to fill these certificates out and send back to class when they catch their child being kind on the home front.

BONUS – Ron Brown’s Intelli-Tunes found out what I was up to and offered to toss a FREE kindness song into the mix. A professionally recorded MP3 is included in this ZIP file as well as printable lyrics.

Thanks for checking out this file. I hope you enjoy. #kindnessmatters

My students loved using this resource for their morning work! They were engaged in the resource and had no trouble getting started. It didn't take much time to prepare this resource, so it was easy for me to use in a time crunch and to make the lesson more understanding and the student to value what they were learning! Thank you!
